These terms apply to your use of thehmonginc.com, operated by The Hmong Inc., a non-profit organization in Fresno, California. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this site is for

This site exists to share information about The Hmong Inc., our programs and workshops, and the Big Fresno Hmong New Year. It is provided for general information only.

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, immigration, housing, medical, or tax advice. Our programs may help you find the right service or explain a document, but reading this website is not the same as receiving professional advice, and you should not treat it as a substitute for it.

Accuracy, and pages still being written

We try to keep the site correct and current. Festival dates, hours, programme times, registration windows and fees can change, sometimes at short notice, and parts of this site are openly marked as still being written. Confirm anything you are relying on by calling the office at (559) 552-2001 before you travel, pay, or make plans around it.

Content on this site

The text, photographs, artwork, logos and design on this site belong to The Hmong Inc. or to the people who made them for us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may read, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you may link to any page here. You may not copy our photographs or artwork for commercial use, resell them, present our material as your own, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission. If you want to use a photograph — for a newspaper, a school project, a community publication — write to us and ask. We are usually glad to say yes.

Photographs of people

The festival is a public community event and our galleries include photographs taken there. If you appear in a photograph on this site and would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down. You do not need to explain why.

Anything you send us

If you send us information through a form on this site — a volunteer sign-up, a newsletter subscription, a message — you confirm it is accurate and that it is yours to send. Do not send anything unlawful, abusive, or belonging to someone else.

We handle what you send according to our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it.

Links to other websites

Our Resources page and other pages link to city, county, state, court, library, school and partner websites. We do not operate those sites, we do not control what they publish, and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or how they handle your information. A link is not an endorsement. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave here.

Donations

Gifts made by scanning a payment code on this site are processed entirely by Venmo or Zelle. We do not receive or hold your payment details. Those services’ own terms govern the transaction. For a written acknowledgement of a gift, or a question about whether a gift is tax-deductible, contact the office.

Availability

We provide this site as it is and as it is available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of every defect, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, The Hmong Inc. and its directors, officers, employees and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or from anything you relied on here. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fresno County, California, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date at the top, and using the site after a change means the revised terms apply to you.

If part of this is unenforceable

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
