A Fresno non‑profit with a mission to preserve the Hmong cultural and religious practice, empower Hmong/Southeast Asian small business, and the host of the Hmong New Year Celebration for Hmong from the whole valley, throughout California and across the nation to gather in one place to celebrate.

A year‑round non‑profit, and the host of the New Year

For fifty‑one weeks a year the work is quiet: business and housing workshops, help for growers and market traders, and the partnerships that get a first‑generation family a licence, a lease, or a loan.

For four days at the turn of the year it produces the Big Fresno Hmong New Year, when the whole Central Valley Hmong community gathers in one place. What the festival raises pays for the year‑round work.

Dr. Thao founded The Hmong Inc. to help Southeast Asian small business grow in Fresno, and helps produce the Big Fresno Hmong New Year each December.
