Miss Hmong Grand International
The pageant carries the weekend: preliminaries on Saturday, then the coronation to close the festival on Sunday. Contestants come from Hmong communities across the United States. Mrs Hmong USA and Mr Hmong USA are judged the same Saturday.
The marketplace
Hundreds of small vendors take booths across the four days: food, clothing, paj ntaub needlework and music. For many Southeast Asian businesses in the valley it is the single biggest sales weekend of the year.

Not permitted at the gate

- Gang-related signs of any kind
- Weapons
- Knives or sharp objects of any kind
Violations may result in refusal of entrance and/or arrest. Security screens every gate; leaving a prohibited item in your car is faster than being turned away at the front of the line.
Back the festival
The arch, the main stage, the security and the ground rent are all paid before the first visitor arrives. Sponsors and donors make the four days possible, and keep the programs running the rest of the year.
